White Dragon Kung Fu Academy
Certified Instructors

In 1977, while residing in the Florida Keys Sifu Joan and her future husband Ron Davis joined the Gong Yuen Academy of Key Largo. There they studied Kung Fu under the direction of then Sifu Glenn C. Wilson, assisted by Sifu James Hickey.
In that tiny room they sweated and stretched and practiced Kung Fu forms. Sifu Wilson emphasized physical conditioning to master the body. Sifu Joan worked nightly on producing fluidity and power with her techniques. Says Sifu Joan, " I loved the flexibility exercises and the strengthening poses of the crane, tiger and horse stances. I practiced everything and never stopped the conditioning and stretching I was taught."
Although her path changed in the 80’s, the flowing martial arts display and the philosophy of the Tao remained with Sifu Joan. The fire was kindled by the only martial arts available to Sifu Joan in eastern Washington - Taekwon-do, and she reached 3rd Dan. By the miracle of the Internet Sifu Joan was able to reunite with the now Grandmaster, Glenn C. Wilson in 2000. Since then Sifu Joan has been under Grandmaster's instruction and has been reviewing and updating her Kung Fu skills. Under Grandmasters’ direction, Sifu Joan and her husband Ron opened their own school in October 2003 and are proud to be the first Pai Lum Academy in the state of Washington!

Sifu Amanda Davis has trained in a variety of martial arts, not only becoming a Certified Si Fu (Instructor) in Pai Lum Tao, but also attaining her First Dan Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do.
